The U-ELCOME project is a Digital Sky Demonstrator in the area of Urban Air Mobility. The project has been launched with funding from the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) in cooperation with the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking as one of its flagship Digital Sky Demonstrators (DSDs). It is a 3-year DSD project coordinated by the EUROCONTROL Innovation Hub and involves 51 European partners.
This DSD project is part of an innovation pipeline to bridge the gap between applied/industrial research and industrialisation, and to accelerate the market uptake of U-space initial services with the involvement of early movers. It also has a strong and close connection with relevant standardisation and regulatory activities and bodies. The project involves U-space implementation and flights in Spain, Italy and France. The focus of U-elcome is a harmonised approach and the project seeks to cooperate with other European U-space implementations to understand what is good practice and what is common practice. The Harmonisation work package will produce a handbook for U-space implementation. The aim is to write this handbook based on experience throughout Europe, within the U-ELCOME project, within the other 2 related ongoing projects (BURDI and EALU-AER) and in national implementations. In order to collect the relevant information to develop this, U-ELCOME is organising a workshop on U-space implementation.
We would like to invite you to attend. We hope to attract people with something to bring to the discussion; not only questions but also experience to report on. Attendees should come from any and all of: UAS operators, U-space service suppliers, Common information service suppliers, U-space software suppliers, Competent authorities, Airspace authorities, ANSPs, “privileged” users of U-space such as security forces, ministries or others with a significant interest in how U-space is being deployed. o Where: The workshop will take place at ITG´s headquarters in A Coruña, Galicia, Spain. A Coruña can be reached by connecting flights from Madrid or Barcelona, or by train or road. It is a city of ¼ of a million people with a rich history. See the locations on google maps or prepare your visit o When: on 31st May and 1st June 2023. |

Thematic sessions (See the topics below in the registration form)
To allow discussion of the subjects of interest, we will divide the audience into groups of between 10 and 25 and move them through different rooms in each of which a different topic will be presented and discussed. We are currently planning to offer seven slots for the thematic sessions. Each is 45 minutes and will be in a different room. Within those 45 minutes the animators will allow plenty of opportunity for you to interact. The topics we plan to discuss are all drawn from the U-space regulations, EU 2021/664, 665 and 666. For each topic the idea is to discuss
