On June 10th, a milestone was reached in Europe during the Demo Day of the U-ELCOME DSD Project in Andalusia, with the successful execution of a logistics operation in remote areas.
🔬 The mission simulated the transport of medical supplies between Beas de Segura and Villacarrillo, using 100% Spanish-developed technology.
🌍 For the first time in Europe, an in-flight handover was carried out between two ground control stations 24 km apart, with a fixed-wing drone operating in hashtagBVLOS conditions (Beyond Visual Line of Sight).
This kind of complex and precise maneuver demonstrates the tremendous potential of hashtagUAS to transform last-mile healthcare logistics, especially in hard-to-reach regions.
